Very simple question about modem

Hi, I'm a linux newb. I accidently changed something and don't remember how to change it back. The Kinternet connection plug thingy in the taskbar in KDE, when I right click on it, it pops up a little window (Help, Check connection, View Log, View Datarate etc.,)

For the options at the bottom, after I installed Linux I could choose "Dial in", but I changed something, and now my only option is "Start" and the others are grayed out. I don't remember how I did that =( Can anyone tell me how to get the "Dial in" option back please?

Also, YaST2 does not autodetect my modem, I chose "other" and put in all my information. Assuming its compatible with Linux, will it still work? Or must Linux use special drivers for it or something? My computer is an old 450Mhz Aptiva E Series, AMD k6-2 Processor with 3dNow technology, and the modem is the internal 56k v.90 one that I got with it, and I'm using SuSE Linux 8.0 Professional. if that helps.

Thank you for any replies.

Matt
