Vertitas netbackup on rh v8

Hi folks, I have a Solaris Netbackup server and am attempting
to add my linux box as a client to be backed up.When I attempt
to load the software from the server to the rh machine it fails
to connect "connection refused" I figured that by enabling ftp
and telnet and the rest of the services in the /etc/xinetd dir I
would be able to install, but this is not the case..............
any help would be gratefully recieved.

Any network restrictions on the Slowaris box itself?

No, none I am afraid. it installs fine on other clients. I also
kept looking at the messages fileas it was trying to connect
and unfortunately there was no additional info to be gleamed
from there either.

Veritas and Linux

Looks like we have a similar problem. I even loaded the Netbackup client on the Linux systems from CD and it still doesn't work. From what I can tell rsh is not working on the Linux systems.
