Verizon DSl and Upload

I'm kind of disappointed with Verizon DSL. When I signed up with them 2 years ago, they promised up to 120 B upload. I just called them up, and they told me that 10 KB is a good upload speed. How that's can be its 12 times lower that expected!!! I really thinking of swithcing to Cablevision.

Any opinion about Cablevision Upload speed? Do you know if there is a way to change the upload speed in Verizon ?

Are you sure your not getting confused between KBit and KBytes? Cable Modem/ADSL upsteam/downstream rates are nearly always in Kbits, but most people talk about upload/download speeds in KBytes. So on my 512KBit/256KBit link here I would expect to get 64KBytes down (512 / 8) and 32KBytes up. I don't always see these rates though.
