I use samba 3.0.10 for my networkng on Mandrake Linux 10.1 with Win-XP clients. These get DHCP leases from the Linux machine. I use the GUI SMB4K to copy files [well I don't actually] but SMB4K doesn't appear to recognise when the XP-Home boxes get a different IP.
Not sure if this has anything to do with the problem but

/var/cache/samba/wins.dat has the old IP addesses of the XP boxes.

However, I can use smbclient //machine/shared-folder without problem and get/put files.

Any help would be gratefully accepted.
