using several DSL lines to give bandwidth to one server
I was looking into using several DSL (or other inexpensive Internet connection lines) to give bandwidth to a single domain. I was thinking of having a master server (A) that all requests would come into, server A would then have a number of other servers connected to it. each of these servers would have a connection to the Internet. server A would send the request to which ever slave server had the least bandwidth load. from there the slave server would process the request as though it recieved it from the original person who requested it over the Internet. all of the slave servers would have mirrored harddrives, so that they would all give out the same information to a request.
what I'm not sure about are several things.
first off, since all the slave servers would have a different IP address from the master server would that be a problem (such as with the requester's machine deny the information to come back because of the different IP, if so would there be a way to mask the IP so that is appeared the same as the master server)?
and the other thing that comes to mind, would be is there any software that would do this?
thanks for any ideas, comments, suggestions, whatevers
