Using LDAP to create and Manage Linux Accounts
hi
I want to use LDAP to create and manage my Linux user accounts.
The LDAP users are stored in active directory and we want the user to be able to use their existing username and passwords to login to redat - without having to manually create the account.
Anybody know how to do this.
Thanx

The Winbind service with Samba is specifically designed for this, and essentially makes your Linux box a AD member server. The Samba site has top-notch documentation.
You will have to decide how to handle home directories - either by having separate home directories on the Linux boxes, or mounting the Windows home directories.
