userspace connection interception

Hello

I'd like my gateway to be able to intercept TCP connections and send them to userspace programs.instead of forwarding them.

Example: client connects to host IP A.B.C.D on the Internet using my gateway. The gateway detects the connection, but instead of forwarding it, directs the stream and IP A.B.C.D to a userspace application, in whatever way.
The application could be a SOCKS proxy, for example.

The reason I need this is that I'm sitting behind a restrictive firewall, allowing access to Internet only using a HTTP proxy.
So far, I only found ip_queue, which operates on single packets - a little too lowlevel for me.

Thanks in advanc!
