Smile useradd vs adduser

Dear Friends ,

Is there any difference between "adduser" and "useradd" ?

They do essentially the same thing. Adduser is a perl script. Useradd is a compiled program. Adduser makes calls to useradd. Useradd is the one that actually does all the work.

The end result is very, very similar.

That's as much as I know.
