Use linux as NAS???

Hi

Does anyone know a way of making linux/debian be seen as a Network Attached Storage(NAS) device, with LUN numbers etc? Thanks

I guess that depends on the NAS protocol in use. Technically, SMB qualifies as NAS, but does not have LUNs. Most SAN (Storage-Area-Networks) use LUNs, because they are a lower-level system. NAS is supposed to be higher-level and more network-oriented.
