how do you wish to use both at once? generally i expect you just need to define a few additional routes, ie. if you use the dialup connection as your internet access, ie. your default router then you would use the route command to tell the box that other networks are reachable by your internal lan gateway.

Few iputs required :
1. Network topology
2. Output of #ip rou ls
3. Purpose of dialup ( & what do you mean by "..other side of dialup" ?)

ok,
lan = dsl connection - host ip is 192.168.1.10/24 and default route is dsl modem 192.168.1.1/24. only one host is connected which is my pc
dial up = i only use it whenever i need to connect to my company lan and ssh over the servers that i need to manage remotely. host ip is dhcp

given that scenario, i can only use my dsl connection (internet) and for the dial up, i cannot do a telnet, ping or initiate any contact on the side of the dial up.

right so assuming this really is just dialup and nothign else on top like a vpn then it's simply a case of messing with routes. when you dial up i assume that by default it takes control of the default route? if so i would assume that whatever client you use can ignore the request to do so, often a case of ignoring the DCHP gateway option when the remote site provides it. after that just manually route whatever netwroks you need to access at work via the dialup interface, leaving the normal default ADSL link untouched.
