USB takaindicom modem

I am using a usb modem with fedora 9 linux os.
Every time I hibernate the machine I have a problem. THe modem remains
undected even after running wvdialconf in addition to an unsuccessful wvdial
I need to reboot the machine and then I get connected.
I notice that after hibernation there is no /dev/ttyAC*.
I run this command as su in a normal user shell. Could this be a problem ? But
then why does this happen only after a hibernate session?

I use the pm-hibernate command running as root to hibernate.

Some tips to add the modem manually or kill some process that is causing this
issue or any other suggestion would be very welcome.

modem, usb
