Urgent : How to find whether the Network Interface is DHCP enabled or not ?

Hi,
When i run ifconfig on Fedora and Debian it shows "BROADCASTING" Does it mean that the Interface eth0 is DHCP enabled.
Because i need to find the same in Solaris 10
In Solaris 10 as I run ifconfig it shows "Broadcasting" and "DHCP" in the same line for eth0.
So , shall i conclude that whenever ifconfig shows BROADCASTING it means that interface is DHCP enabled.

Thanks,
Abha.

Actually I am writing a script to gather the network information in which I need to mention whether the NIC in the machine is DHCP enabled or not.And if it is DHCP enabled then what is the ip address of the DHCP server.
So i just wanted to know whether there is any way to find out this.
And if you can please help me in getting the same info for Fedora,Debian, Solaris 10
It has nothing to do with Client or server. I am trying it out for a simple machine.

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
