How much time it takes for an Intrusion Detecting System to report to the firewall the possible threat attack?

Depends on how you configure it.

Since you don't tell us:

• What kind of Linux you're using
• What kind of IDS you're using
• What kind of hardware you're using
• What kind of firewall you're using
• How you have ANY of this configured
