Uploading FTP through a Linux Router

Hey everybody! I'm new to all this Linux mumbo jumbo but i did manage to setup a linux router for my network. So far everythings been running smoothly, i configured dhcpd.conf and I'm using ipmasqueading to dish out LAN ip's to the computers on my network. The only problem i've run into is when I try to FTP some files up to my website. It basically says that the LAN ip isn't allowed and it will only accept packets from the external ip on the linux router itself. If anyone knows what i'm talking about and can help me fix the problem I'd really really appreciate it.

What client are you using? It should be configured for "passive" mode. gftp works great for me. If ip masquerading is working properly then the ftp server should know nothing about your LAN ip.
