Updating packages from redhat - insatlling *.hdr packages

Hi,

I've an RHEL ES 3 server installed . I'm trying to get the updates from Redhat. I receive the updates in the /var/spool/up2date directory. Since it was given manual installation of updates, I have to update the packages manually. But in the up2date directory what I see is in *.hdr format. How do I install these packages.

Thanking you in advance

Jomy

They are just information files detailing what's in the real package.. (headers)

Check your up2date settings to see if packages are automatically downloaded or you have to manually select them..

up2date -configure (might need two --)
