Unknown Data Uploading to Unknown Destination (Machine IP Broadcasting)


Hi All,

Guys i am facing a bad situation with my Oracle Linux machine, a unknown data uploading to an known destination (In windows we known this issue as broadcasting)...I am new with linux...Please help me how to stop this nonsense...My Network configuration

IP : 192.168.1.21
Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.0
Gateway : 192.168.1.1

As i put gateway in configuration, same time my network gone dead, when i check my ADSL router, then i found a huge amount of Data uploading from 192.168.1.21

try sniffing the traffic.

Code:
tshark -n -i your-network-interface
You could also check established TCP connections:

netstat -ntp
or udp:

Code:
netstat -nup
With that you should be able to see which process is using those connections.

Issue because of SAMBA server's bad configuration. Now issue resolved.
