University Uses Websence
Hello I am a student and my university uses websence to filter the pages that we can see. Do you have any suggestion how i can see the pages that i want for example www.skype.com I have Linux gentoo. I would like to tell me how i can setup my machine to work.

If the filters are blocking pages that you think are legitimate, you should bring it up with the network administrators. It is their network and they get to set the rules. Asking how to circumvent someone else's system really isn't an appropriate topic for these forums.

Hangdog42 is correct, we are not in the business of circumventing IT policies.
My guess is that if they have blocked the skype homepage they will also have found a way to block calls too.

you guess wrong, they have not blocked calls but they have locked the site as a result i can not buy time to speak.

Well, then the appropriate thing to do is contact your universities network administrators and talk to them. Maybe they are blocking skype by accident or maybe they intended to block VOIP calls entirely and haven't done it properly. In either case it is their network and you need to live within their rules.

Websense has a long history of falsely logging legitimate pages as gambling/sex/etc. IIRC, your network admin needs to contact Websense to have them update and distribute the database.
