Post Understandind Linux Networking

Hello guys,
I've surfed the net for a long time, but i still haven't found a good book (pdf, chm or something to buy in a book store) about linux networking.

I mean, i don't want a book that teaches to me how to set up apache, bind, mysql or so.

I'm in search of a book that will teach me how linux treats network interfaces (standard way, not Debian-way or RedHat-way), basically how network works (just something to let me unserdtand what commands are doing), how to manager network connections (startup, ip setup, packet filtering...) and maybe how to setup a vpn.

Do you know a book that can teach theese thing to me?
Do you know a good book that may make me understanding linux networking well ?

Thanks,

I have both of these and IMHO they are excellent.

The Essential System Administration book covers networking in various *nix, solaris and linux.

Google is your friend.

Both of those books are great. You will find most of this information freely available on the net. You could try a web site like this.

Or just google free Unix Networking or Linux networking (They should work alike, as Linux is a Unix "work alike").
