Unable to sftp in Linux


Introducing myself as a newbie in this forum.....and joined today to trouble you guys to troubleshoot my troubles.....

Anyway, my problem is while trying to do a sftp to my remote lunux box(located ina different country) it saying "Received message too long 1113682792" - while typing the password.

I tried to grep over net but didnt help me out.....

Any response would be appreciated....

in your shell startup scripts on the remote system (e.g. .bash_profile for the bash shell) do you have anything which is generating output.
if so comment them out and try to sftp again.
