unable to see local games

I can't see any local games on the lan using the built in game browsers. This includes linux native games, quake3, doom3, return to wolfenstein, as well as games under cedega. I'm running fedora core 4, I've brought down my firewall to see if that was interfering and still saw nothing. It would be nice to be able to run linux at a lan, hope someone here can help.

You could try a packet sniffer like TCPdump to make sure that you're at least receving the traffic from the games. . .

well seeing that i'm at home right now with no system to really test it out on yet i can't use that but i'll give it a try. i do know that if i have the ip address of the game though i can do a direct connect to the server and play just fine, it just would be nice to have the games show up in the game browsers. do you know if this is just a problem that i have or have you had this problem?
