Can you give us more information on your setup.
- Are you saying that you can ping between servers within your network but not outside the firewall?
- What difference does stopping the firewall make?
- What is the server inside your firewall that you are trying to ping from?
- What connection do you have to the Internet?
I think the problem might be that those services are closed from the internal network to the outside. Might have to change a few rules on the FW to use those services. Might help to post the FW config file.
