Unable to ping 2 PC

hi
I have two PCs running on 'fedora core4'. The 1st PC has two NICs, 1st(eth0) has static ip given by net providers and is connected to internet via router(dsl connection), 2nd NIC(eth1) is connected to the 2nd PC, and its ip address is 192.168.0.1 .
2nd PC has 1 NIC(eth0), and its ip address is 192.168.0.2 ,and its default gateway is 192.168.0.1. sub.mask-255.255.255.0 .
I wanted to set up a NAT, so i had inatalled Firestarter, and then i uninstalled it. After that i am not even able to ping the two PC.
Please help me..

What does the output of
Code:
iptables -L
bring back? It may be that any iptable rules setup are still in place even with firestarter removed, though I've never used it to be honest. Can you ping out to the Internet from your 1st machine? Can you ping from machine 1 to machine 2?

#iptables -F
#iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o eth0 -j MASQUERADE
#echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward

on 2nd PC :

#iptables -t nat -F
