unable to maximize outbound connections and bandwidth
I need to make thousands of concurrent outbound connections, but once my upstream reaches about 188Kbps, it acts like it has hit some sort of limit and wont increase much more no matter how many additional connections I make. My available upstream bandwidth is much higher leading me to believe this is a configuration issue.
I thought the issue would be solved after increasing the maximum number of open files from 1024 to 20480. This allowed me to create more threads, but my upstream still will not increase above about 188Kbps.
Should I try to increase the max number of TCP connections?
I need some advice on how to troubleshoot this, I'm not sure how to even determine what the issue is.
Thanks in advance for any help!
