hi ya' all, i badly need help with this one... has anyone tried setting up a televantage client in a linux machine using wine? i hset upad a chance to set up an ubuntu machine with a televantage client running under wine although successfully installed has some serious issues/errors

Reason: failed to include error details
I also am trying to get TVCLIENT to run on Wine. I had my install go fine with no errors on Ubuntu 7.10 and Wine, but I get a connection error when I try to connect.
I also had trouble with windows 2000 in a VM connecting and it was the fault of the VMs networking rather than Wine.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated if anyone succeeds on this. Thanks,
EDIT: also if you choose the "browse for server" button there is no list of servers available. Wine doesn't seem to be seeing the Televantage server. Is there a way to make a shortcut mount that wine will see? Ubuntu connects to the servers shared folders fine...
I am still having difficulty with this one. I can get TV to install, but still get the error when I try to connect to the TV server. I saw this online and have not tried to figure it out yet, but thought re-posting it might help someone else who found this thread..

I just resent a patch to wine-patches that will allow you to install native
MSI with Wine's msiexec (look for the distributable InstMsiA.exe). You may
get lucky using that for installing your app.
