Ubuntu killed my pclinuxos DSL

I installed Ubuntu 7.04 this morning. It installed its own version of grub which enabled me to log in to my pclinuxos partition. However, the dsl connection does not work in pclinuxos and all my efforts to reconfigure it have failed. Meanwhile, pclinuxos help is currently unavailable. Since pclinuxos is my primary system, what went wrong and how do I fix it?

Solved

I still do not know why the DSL was disconnected. However, the solution was to call the connection an ethernet connection instead of a DSL connection.
