Ubuntu and Network Card Problems
Hi
I'm currently using Ubuntu Fiesty Fawn as a file server, but recently it has become extremely slow. I have checked my internet connection and everything seems fine, so I decided to change the network card to an Intel Pro/1000. I've read that this card is supported by Ubuntu Linux, and possibly should be auto-detected without the need to install drivers/modules. Is this correct? If so, why does it not show up when I search for all devices? lspci only outputs Intel Corporation bah blah...Unknown Device All help would be welcome |
Hi wiggst3r, Welcome to lq. Could we see that output from lspci? Also helpful would be the following.
Code:
sudo lsmod |
