Ubuntu 7.04 guest on VMPLAYER under WINXP-SP2 Host
Installed Ubuntu on VMPlayer by creating 5GB virtual disk vmdk using qemu-img create.
Internet on ADSL works fine from Virtual machine. Viewing/accessing workgroup computers on the LAN is the issue. I can PING other workgroup computers, but can not trace the route.
Places->network takes a long time and shows "windows network". After clicking, it takes a long time again and comes up "sorry could not display all the contents of "windows network:workgroup". Once it went further to display the workgroup machines and contents. Tried all combinations of firewall and network bridge at host and guest.
I feel that there is some issue related to destination address settings.
Request help in resolving the issue.
