Ubuntu 6.06 Server(SSH Setup/Putty)

I really need some help guys. I mean I don't get frustrated too easily but indeed, I hate when I don't understand something. I do apologize first and foremost if my questions are a little too newbieish. But indeed, I have the distro's above, and I need to quickly find out how I can go about setting up SSH so i can putty to the mail server(ubuntu 6.06 box). SSH port 22 is enabled on my weak router/modem(isp standard issued) but I want to setup the ssh server to my ubuntu server. I want to directly putty(client) to it. Can anyone give me to syntax for getting the ssh packages and installing them on this box?

Thanks in advanced....
