Using an asus mobo with Marvell Yukon 88e8001 chipset. Somehow I got the skge driver loaded in my "additional driver". My ifconfig shows the eth0 but no ip or hdaddr. lspci -nnk= Kernel driver in use skge. Kernel modules: sk98lin, skge. lsmod= skge 44767 0. It was working until I shut it down and rebooted. The networking icon in upper right hand corner shows a blank wireless symbol and when clicked on shows the "Wired network" tab grayed out. The "addl. driver" box says the driver is activated but not in use. I'm n00b and most of this work was done by experienced linux dude. He is inaccessible at the present time so I could sure use your help as I have no lixus access to internet. Thanks all.
i don't usually complain but I see other posts get like 10 replies in an hour that were posted after mine. and it amazes me how fast you responded to my bitch post.
