U.S. Robotics 56k modem with linux

ok, i know i've posted about modems on linux before, but i've had winmodems. i went out and bought a U.S. Robotics 56k modem and it's under (COM 4) while i setup linux i didn't link the modem to anything so therefore i need to do so, and have no idea how. Seeing how this isn't a winmodem, or atleast i believe it's not
i need helping linking it to my COM 4 port and going from there

Thanks

The US Robotics site has a driver for this modem (rpm format). It will copy/write a script fiel to the rc.d start up scripts. Works great. On boot up it looks like a bunch of error messages go by, but the modem works fine.
