tx interrupt but no status
Help? We are using Debian 3.0. We have built a router using three different network adapters. NE2000=eth0, Intel 16-eth1, SMC=eth2. Cards all ISA... Pentium 100, 16 RAM
eth0 - LAN eth1 - SERVERS eth2 - WAN We get message: eth1: tx interrupt but no status After awhile - stops responding and asks question is card on fire? We must then restart router to get back on-line.. What must we do to get rid of this message? Please help... Thanks |
i had the same problem on debian i am not quite sure why it does it but i was using debian ( one of the latest ) on a p100 with 24meg of ram the network card is a NE2000 the eexpress.o module it would have told u if you load it up anywayz i went to slackware and saw that i haven't had any problems but i still experience collisions with my data the data is still fine after it the box will automatically ask for it again so i am just best saying for u to go onto slack or take out your NE2000 card n try and see how long the box stays up for without skrewin itself
if you still have problems on debian just remember slack is a better networking os and a better choice for me Enjoy ;) |
