Two Static ip in one connection

we are using red hat linux 9 for our proxy server with static ip 59.144.124.51,this static ip we use for vpn and we had created dmz from this static ip which forward packets from our static ip to our internal database server.

we had just now new requirement for static ip,we are using some software which is working in lan from http://192.168.1.222:5670 and we want to use this from internet.our software vendor said that you install new lan card in that software server and give the static ip to lan new installed lan card.

we don't want to buy a new internet connection can it is possible with same internet connection with new static ip?

i don't have any router in the office and i am using red hat 9 linux pc which is acting as a router.what settings to be done for one connection and 2 static ip, please suggest me any iptables rules for that.

Regards

Satish

Yes you can setup Network Address Translation (NAT) on your REDHAT box, to forward packets received on different ports to different machines. Google!

you probably want to set-up virtual alais's for your connection as well. e.g. eth0:1 you can copy the file for eth0 to the eth0:x that you want in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ (I believe since this is how RHEL does it) , change the device(ie eth0:1 again) within the file as well as the ip information and then restart your network connection (/etc/init.d/network restart). I'd then read up on the NAT stuff as suggested above if you dunno how to configure the rest of it.
