two private ips before heading out to internet

I was just testing the network for bottlenecks and ran a traceroute test, and came up with this result, and I wonder it there are three private routers before getting out to public internet, or the range of 10.x.x.x can also be use in public internet, and also 172.16.x.x. as far as I know these are reserved for private use... correction please

Code:
jorge@nixtop ~ $ traceroute google.com
traceroute to google.com (216.58.219.110), 30 hops max, 60 byte packets

10.0.0.0/8 (255.0.0.0) and 172.16.0.0/12 (255.240.0.0) are reserved for private use, so it is as you assume you have 3 routers before reaching "real" internet.

I live in an apartment building, and the internet provider has two private routers in between you and the internet, I've never seen this before!
