Trying to set up DHCP, problem with the interface

Hi. I am trying to get a DHCP client configured on IRIX (SGI server). The problem is, I don't think proclaim is using the right NIC card. It says its using eg0, but there is also an ef0 interface. There are two cards in the computer, one is a fiber card and the other is a regular ethernet card. I am trying to configure the regular ethernet card with the eg0 interface, but NO luck so far.

So I'm thinking i need to use ef0, but I have no idea how to set ef0 as the default (because proclaim uses the default card). Is there a command that sets ef0 as the default interface for use with proclaim? Can I do it with ifconfig?

If this helps, this is how I set up 'eg0' before:
Quote:
chkconfig autoconfig_ipaddress on

proclaim

ifconfig eg0 up

netstat -m

*reboot*
Proclaim could not detect or connect to the DHCP server upon reboot. Thanks in advance.
