Reading configuration data...

***> One or more problems was encountered while processing the config files...

Check your configuration file(s) to ensure that they contain valid
directives and data defintions. If you are upgrading from a previous
version of Nagios, you should be aware that some variables/definitions
may have been removed or modified in this version. Make sure to read
the HTML documentation regarding the config files, as well as the
'Whats New' section to find out what has changed.

What is it wrong?

Thanks,
Anderson

It hit something nasty. Nagios 3 has a very different config setup from most/all previous versions. If you're cool doing the compilation for yourself, then use their example configs, and simply modify them to suit your needs. That error message in particular, "**> One or more problems was encountered while processing the config files..." means you have tons of major errors most of the time. When it is a single error, it usually reports something like, "no services found for host abcd.xyz."

Peace,
JimBass

Yeah your config files must not be properly set up. Go by the templates provided. If you have more errors kindly let us know and send the basic config you are trying to set up.
