trouble with forcedeth driver (have nvidia nforce chipset) under debian "sarge"
 

i have an nvidia chipset running on sarge 3.1 w/ the 2.6.8-2-386 kernel. i cant get to the internet b/c debian wont regognise my ethernet ports. i have heard that by typing you could get the nvidia ethernet to work. the terminal said that the cammand "modprobe" wasnt found. if someone can tell me
1. where i can get this forcedeth driver and how to install it (remember i have to download it from windows, no apt-get)
2. how to get my internet working from there thank you so much.

the times I have got that same error from modprobe is when it was not installed or I was not root, I seem to remember I had to install modprobe from the cd to get my smc nic to work
