Trouble connecting to the internet with SuSE Linux
HELLLLLLLLP!!! I need help connecting to the internet with SuSE Linux using FireFox and Konkeror (I dont know if Konkeror is spelled right). I am using VMware so I dont know if that is the problem or not. I have a LAN (Local Area Network) internet connection. But my dad says that some how We need linux to see an IP address on SuSE Linux by getting linux to cooperate with my DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) Server.
P.S. I was not able to find the control panel in SuSE Linux.
Please Help,
Kevin

The problem may very well be how you have set-up
VMware ... which kind of networking option for the client
did you choose?

well, turns out my friend dint solve the problem. we have a dsl connection and we created it from the networking option in Yast ( the suse config tool ) its pretty straight forward ( but still no where as easy as in Fedora ) however once the internet connection was set up it became unstable. apparently it keeps on disconnecting whenever it wants and the only way we can re-establish the connection is if he re-creates the dsl connection. seriously man, i have no clue why they even make a distro if its so messed up !
