I'm using pppd on my linux server as a gateway to the
internet for the rest of the house. But I'm having
problems with my new ISP. The ISP insists that I use
my full email address as my username instead of just
the username. And pppd gets confused by this
because of the "@" symbol, so authentication fails.
I have tried putting the whole thing in quotes, and have
tried putting a "\" before the "@", but neither worked.
Anyone got any suggestions? I am really desperate
here (the parents are going wild about the lack of
internet
