# 46 .

Not really. When you added / edited your "tcl/lib/ns-default.tcl", and did
$ make clean && make : A new executable 'ns' was created.
Please use a copy of this new 'ns' : "ns-<new-name>", see post #44.

If you failed and want to use a "patch", then it must be the new one,
myevalvid2-ns228-patching-1.tar.gz, that includes your ns-default.tcl :

Please sir could you help me this to resolve this problem!
I'm trying to run the example given in this link
http://hpds.ee.ncku.edu.tw/~smallko/...vid_in_NS2.htm
The example given is supposed to work on cygwin but my requirement is to do it on linux environment.
I'm new to video transmission and codecs things. I'm not understanding how do I run that on linux.

Thank you

# 50 .

"http://hpds.ee.ncku.edu.tw/~smallko/...vid_in_NS2.htm" is not a valid link.
How to copy a link adress : Right click → Select 'Copy Link Address'.

Besides that, the available executable is for Windows© (Cygwin) only.
So I don't think you will have much luck.
And : I have no knowledge about running video transmissions. (Or Cygwin.)
