Transferring Files from Windows XP to Suse 9.1 through crossover cable

I'm new to Linux in general. I just put it on the compute that I built, and I'm tired of Microsoft. Does anybody know if there is any way that I can transfer some of my files directly from my computer running Windows to my computer running Linux. I have a crossover cable, but am unsure of what to do. I have Windows XP Professional on the first system and Suse 9.1 Professional on the second system. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I wouldn't use a cable, I would just take the HD of the Windows computer and put it in the Linux computer, mount it, and copy over all the files I need. No extra hardware required and is pretty simple.

Thanks. I haven't thought about that, but I might end up doing that. I appreciate your feedback.

Yeah I had to move some files over from my bro's computer and it worked out great :) Only took a few minutes to set up and ~10 mins to copy over (I had a lot to copy). I'm not sure how fast cables transfer, so this might be your best bet.
