transfer between 2 linux pcs

O.k I'm about to get my hands on an Mac and install linux on it, how would i transfer files between this Mac and my 'normal' linux P.c I have not had two linux p.cs before and i have not experience of how that might work, I've only ever used samba since the rest of my family use windows. Thanks in advance.

You could still use samba or you couls use nfs:
