transending smb

hey,

Iv been using an XP machine to connect to the internet cos windows was the only OS that supported my modem, the company that made it has just released a driver to work on fedora core 1 ( dunno why they didnt make it for core 2 but......) so i can move all my computers onto linux.

because of the windows machines i have been using smb to share files and folders between the computers. i could continue using this with out any windows computers but i thought there must be a sharing system for linux machines (that could be better than smb) can any one inform me?

is this very clear??

cheers.
Ben.

I'd say just stick w/ Samba since you have used it already and thus probably know some aspects of it pretty well, but you could try looking into NFS.
