Question Traffic Generator with MAC-Address control


Dear All

I need test a device with a controlled generated number of Mac-Address and traffic.

Did any of yours know a traffic generator that can helme to send traffic controlling the numbers of src-mac-addresses???

You could write a script to loop and change MAC addresses using "ip" of iproute2, and send traffic using "dnet" from libdnet project or "ncat" from nmap project. The traffic could be pre-set or just pulled from /dev/random. I'm not aware of any pre-made tool like that, but one may exist on some of the security related websites.

That's a good idea, I'm a little rusty in scripting but I'll figure out how to do it.
