TP-LINK TL-WN725N and Debian Wheezy?

I appearently have version 2 of TP-LINK TL-WN725N using the chipset RTL8188EUS but I can't find this chipset on Realtek's driver download page.

Is there a source code version of it somewhere or can I safely use the driver for version 1?

Or am I just out of luck re: BUG#726398.

It tempting to just try to install Raspian on the thing since they promise it works out of the box with that distro but it's an Acer Aspire 3630 so Raspbian really has nothing to do with it has it?

Hi

according to your bug link its rtl8188eu not ~eus
do you agree?

2) you could install git and grab the link from bug for
https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/ke...ging/rtl8188eu

drilling down under hal we have rtl8188eu*
https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/ke.../rtl8188eu/hal

so it looks like we have a linux driver waiting full monty status but no need to go for raspian
but still some work for you to change kernel.

Well, yes. I downloaded the source package "rtl8188eu-master" and compiled and installed it and voila it seems it works now.

EDIT: And sorry: thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
