Torrents, Sandvine, Streaming, and Disconnect questions

Azureus made for slow torrent downloads, and continual disconnects/resets using Comcast Cable Internet with Ubuntu GG 7.10. I changed to Deluge and anonymous and encrypted BTJunkie with superb results.

The problem: On my home LAN of XP/Ubuntu dual boot PCs, wireless streaming media from a PC to TV using Buffalo LinkTheater disconnects and resets every 5-15 minutes or so. The BLT says "Excellent Wireless Connection." The wireless router is 5 feet from the digital media streamer. I have noticed that some of the wired PCs also periodically lose their connections to the Internet and then reconnect.

The questions: Can this be Sandvine punishing me for having torrent requests on the router's Deluge port?

If the BTJunkie torrents are anonymous and encrypted, can Sandvine tell that torrent action is occurring?

The port does not need to be open when not being used. If I turn off port forwarding to the router's Deluge port when not downloading, can Sandvine still cause disconnects and resets on the home LAN?

Any other ideas on the cause, or suggestions to solve the problem?

TIA

Could be a flawed router. There's some SOHO Wifi routers that just can't handle large amount of open connections. Else are there any AP's near? Seems some channels, even tho different, influence others.
