compilation location in suse 9.0 pro

hi

thanx for ur reply. i found the config file and there is a line "config_pcmcia_ibmtr = m" now i presume i somehow have to change this from m to y, right? my problem now though is in SuSe linux 9.0 pro, they say i can only configure the kernel from the /usr/src/linux directory, which i do not have on my system. please help..

there are 2 options

either get the source from kernel.org and extract it in /usr/src and make a symlink from /usr/src/linux to /usr/src/linux-2.4.21...

or get the soucre rpm of ur kernel from ur cd and install that

regards
