to make a embeded linux system with a wirless network card(ad hoc mode) as a proxy

A wireless lan application.
All the mobile terminals in the wlan shall access the AP-Bridge(back-to-back).
But by the limit of certain circumstance, some mobile terminals can not access the AP via wirless channel.
So one mobile terminal who can access the AP-Bridge shall be set as a proxy. A partner set its wirless network card to Ad hoc mod. For all the mobile terminals who can not access the AP directly, he also set their wirless network cards to Ad hoc mod, and the proxy are set as their gateway. I want to know is their anything wrong?

If that's right, then I do not know how to go on:
The mobile terminal which we want to set as a proxy has only one wirless network card and one IP, in order to make the terminal a proxy, to make it routing, what should we do? Kernel 2.4.21 for arm is running on the terminal.
The proxy's wireless network card are set to Ad hoc mod, then it can not access the AP-Bridge I think. We want to incorporate a wireless network card and a Bridge to a motionless terminal. Then the proxy can access outside network via this terminal. What should we do to make the wireless network card and Bridge work?
