time syncing with time server

I have a few machines that don't time sync. I'm running the ntpd daemon. I've tried restarting the daemon. one thing that it might be is that I'm in the UK and the locale is set to US on the machine. I've heard that can throw the timing off a bit. So if thats the case, how would I change the locale? I tried '#locale=en_GB' and that didnt change anything. We have 2 servers, one is just over an hour ahead and the other is just over 2 hours ahead and they sync with our time server running Atomic Clock. One of the machines has to sync with daylight savings time and the other one we don't, so not quite sure to go about this.

Cheers!

The time won't sync if there is a big enough drift. Try setting it manually first with:
ntpdate ntp.demon.co.uk

Also if there are a time zone problem the ntp would still sync but you would have the clock set wrong by hole hours .
