time sincronization

Hi sirs,

I've tried to make my win2k workstations sincronize the time with my samba PDC server in the logon script, by using "net time \\server /set /y", and "time server = true" in samba. However, it gives me an error like "required privileges not held by the client". People told me I should use NTP, but I'm not sure how to use it, just install a ntp client in the win2k workstations or something else?

regards,
ygor

thanks for the reply brandon,

I don't know if it's me, but I truly can't see how to, in fact, get there, to sincronize the time.

There's four different programs to synchronise time on that page. I guess use Automachron if your fine with it running in the system tray, or NetTime if you want a service. The instructions are straight forward, just install, and go through the wizard. If your able to manage Linux, i think you can handle a little Windows program :)
