Question The semaphore timeout period has expired

Trying to connect to nfs (via smb) or windoze share.

Issue "The semaphore timeout period has expired" On all windoze clients (xp, vista, 7 & 2003 server)

samba error log /var/log/samba/machine_name
read_data: read failure for 4 bytes to client (IP) Error = Connection reset by peer

Environment mix windoze xp, vista, 7 CentOS 4,5,6 Solaris 8,10.

problem is errors appear only one location and one direction.

Clients in 1 fail connecting to 2, but work connecting to 3 & 4.
2, 3 & 4 clients work to all other locations including location 1.

Wan network. VPN over Public ISP.

No changes to network in over a month. Wan between 1 & 2 has sliverpeaks

Restarted smbd & nmbd.

WTF .. IT started working 30 hours later on it's own....
